Music & Masterpieces 2009 is a premier public art event presented by the Omaha Symphony Guild and hosted by the merchants of Rockbrook Village. This is the fourth year for the event.

Selected artists have created both exterior and interior art pieces that will be auctioned during a Gala Auction on Thursday, September 17, 2009 in the Entertainment Plaza of Rockbrook Village.

The event has grown in its short four-year history. Community interest continues to grow. The artwork will be displayed throughout Rockbrook Village, on the grounds and inside individual shops.

Celebrating its 52nd year, the Omaha Symphony Guild is an organization dedicated to promoting and supporting all of the Omaha Symphony’s education programs. These programs reach pre-K to college-age students. The programs include: Mission Imagination, Instrument Petting Zoos, Celebrate Creativity, Margre Durham’s Concerts for Youth, Music Alive!, Carnegie Hall’s Communities LinkUP!, and New Music Symposium for young composers. These programs are designed to cultivate music into the lives of the young people and to provide them with knowledge and appreciation for orchestral music and the arts.
